 Professor Dr. Heinz Thielmann, 1. Vorstand von Friendship Force Bavaria überreichte Boya Marshall die Wayne Smith Medaille in Anerkennung ihrer Verdienste, nicht nur in unserem Klub in Bayern sondern in der gesamten Organisation von Friendship Force.

Wayne Smith, der Gründer von Friendship Force, war der Überzeugung, dass eine Welt von Freunden eine friedliche Welt ist. Seine grenzenlose Energie, sein Optimismus und unermüdlicher Einsatz waren und sind Vorbild für alle, die seine Idee von Völker übergreifender Freundschaft vom ersten Klub in Atlanta/USA weitertragen in alle Welt. In Anerkennung und zur Erinnerung an seine Verdienste wurde diese Medaille etabliert, um Mitglieder zu ehren, die sich ebenso einsetzen. Boya Marshall hat sich durch ihre leidenschaftliche Arbeit, die Mission von Wayne Smith zu realisieren, in besonderem Masse verdient gemacht. Sie war von 2009 bis 2012 Mitglied im FFI Board of Directors in Atlanta.
